The 2012 GOV Inspection is finally a thing of the past and was a resounding success!
Foundation mare and ex-racehorse and racehorse broodmare, Barbarees Hill, made her official entry onto the Warmblood breeding scene with two foals, Bourgault E. M. and Walkyrie E. M.
Barbarees Hill was praised on her TB-type, GOV-judge Holly Simensen commenting how there used to be a time when Thoroughbreds were the basis of the USEF. She was subsequently entered into the Main Mare Book.
Bourgault E. M. showed well and was called back for the final ring where he was named Premium; which is no small feat for a jumper-bred colt out of a full-blooded dam.
Walkyrie E. M. was only there for registration and didn’t do so well because of the horse-eating-shade-cover over the judges’ table. Yet, she still received great comments on her type and trot, with a note on her walk, who could be better.
All in all. A great day. 🙂
